Light Up the Darkness!

Ohhh Jessica! Where are you! She's honestly somewhere praying! But please forgive us it has been a hectic week school is almost coming to an end. Jessica will be GRADUATING this summer thanks be to God. But let me give you the issue at hand Matthew 5:14-16 says:

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Powerful words from our Lord and Saviour. He is telling us to let our light shine! A lot of times as Christians when we discovered this light, we sometimes tend to only let that light shine with other light. Meaning we only stay around other Christians. We do not go into the darkness of this work and allow our light to SHINE The words of the Son said to us in Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". He does not say to us go and make disciples of ourselves, rather ALL NATIONS. As The Word was with us in the form of man he went and sat with and taught both JEWS and GENTILES alike. He sat in the houses of Matthew and Zeccheaus both despised tax collectors. But as we know are God is Love and saw fit to help change them. We should do the same, remember it is the grace and the favor of our Lord and Saviour that we had a renewal of our mind. So we must allow the Fathers light to shine within us that others may see this light and want to find that same light within them. So I beseech you brethren. allow your light to not only shine. But to LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!

Convenient Christian

I see Jess like to write in the color I chose so I guess from now own I will choose another color. That being said I'm gonna talk about the Convenient Christian. What is that you may ask, well let me give you bible for that:
Luke 18:20-22
"When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
23When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. 24Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
See this guy was like yea man I will follow Christ cause all these other people are doing it. But when Christ told him the give up worldly possession that u treasure so much  to follow me he couldn't do it. See this is just like us in a way. When it's convenient when it does comprise what we treasure its cool to be Christian. But those freinds, that music, that hobby, we don't want to give up. He wants it ALL guys! You can act like your following him all you want but he truly knows what you do when none of your Christians friends or when no one is around. Upon that you will say that I went to church, prayed, and fellowship. C'mon Jesus your my "homeboy". Then you know what he will say then, DEPART FROM ME YOU EVILDOER, I never knew you. So I challenge you today give up all those worldly treasure we love. He says leave that bf/gf , I have one better. Or give up that hobby, the one I will replace it with will give you the fruits of the spirit. But you must get rid of these worldly treasure before you follow me. Romans 2:12 "Do not conform to the patterns of this world..." Do not take worldly treasures as your own "You are in this word, not of it". Give all those treasures to God and show him that he means more! I love you all and remember LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!!

Here is a lil something to think about.

The Fall of Man

I grew up hearing the story of Adam and Eve all the time , but it really just hit me that Jesus was the second Adam lol. but check this out - The same way the devil tempted Eve is the same way he tried to tempt Jesus, but off course Jesus prevailed. Genesis 1:27.. "God created man in his OWN image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them" . Ok.. this verse is saying Adam and Eve was basically like God, an OWN image of God. Chapter 3 verse 4 " the serpent came to eve and said... when you eat of it {the fruit} your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" Helllooooooo Eve.. you were like God already according to Gen 1:27 .. An OWN image of God . The difference between Adam and Eve and Jesus is this- ok.. Jesus was led by the Spirit to go in the wilderness after 40 days and forty nights of fasting and praying, the bible said he was very hungry! the devil appeared to Him and said ..Matthew 4:3 " if you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.. Jesus answered " it is WRITTEN man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. It is interesting how the devil used food both in the garden of Eden and at the wilderness lol. The devil then took him to the highest point of the city and said ... if you are the Son of God, throw yourself down for it is written ( whattt??? the devil quotes "the Word".. smh) " he will command angels concerning you and they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone" My Jesus rebutted and said look here fool" for it is written ... Do not put the Lord your God to test"... the devil continued but Jesus ended by say " Away from me Satan for it is written " Worship your Lord God and serve Him only". My message here brethren is that the big difference between Adam and Eve and Jesus was that, Jesus knew who he was - God's Son.. God OWN image and knew the word. I encourage everyone to thirst for the word in order to equip yourselves so that when the enemy strikes you can strike back. When he begins to tell you to smoke and drink your problems away, you tell him NO.. My body is a temple of God and was bought for a price and therefore I must honor God with my body - 1 corthin 6:19. When he begins to tell you you are ugly.. you tell him No, I am fearfully and wonderfully made psalm 139:14.. Also we all have the power to command the enemy to leave us alone but one must fully submit to God.. James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you".. Be ENCOURAGED BRETHREN!

Seperate but Equal?

I've had blogs before and haven't really been a frequent blogger but everything we do we must do to the Glory of God. With that being said I'm the type of person where I OVER THINK things so I bring to you a question. When Christ was in the garden of GESTHEMENE he said some thing I found to be very interesting (For those who don't know while Christ was in the garden of Gethsemane he was agonizing and praying to his father about the trial he was about to endure). The being said in Luke 22:42 he says "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done". So after reading this I thought to myself by Chirst saying not my will but yours be done, that imply's a separation of wills. It made me think HMMMMMMMM is the will of the Father and the will of the Son different. I do understand that Christ was fully human as he walked with us but he was fully God as well. All my life I've known the will of the father and son to be the same. So it's kind of perplexing to me. Drop me a comment and let me let me know what you think. And remember LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!
